Changji University is located in the beautiful Changji City, which is located in the economic belt of the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang, the core development zone of Wuchangshi City Cluster, and the core zone of the Silk Road Economic Belt in Xinjiang. It is 18 kilometers away from Urumqi International Airport. It has a history of 65 years since its establishment in 1959. In May 2001, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as a regional undergraduate college. The school currently has 1,716 faculty and staff, including 1,241 full-time teachers and 496 senior professional titles. There are 8 people who have received special allowances from the State Council, 7 leading talents of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", cultural celebrities and "four batches" talents, and teaching masters, 8 teaching masters and teaching experts in the autonomous region, and 15 talents of Tianshan Talents, Tianshan Cedar, cultural celebrities and "four batches" talents in the autonomous region. There are 32,199 full-time students, including 288 master's students, 25,743 undergraduates, and 6,168 junior college students. The school currently has two campuses, covering an area of 806,000 square meters. Among them, the Xincheng campus is 676,700 square meters and the Yuanding campus is 129,300 square meters. There are various teaching and research instruments and equipment with a total value of 163.7844 million yuan, more than 1.70195 million paper books, and more than 1.88935 million electronic books. The school has 15 secondary teaching units, including the School of Marxism, the School of Physics and Materials Science, the School of Energy and Control Engineering, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Aviation, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Educational Sciences, the School of Chinese Language and Literature, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Mathematics and Data Science, the School of Music and Dance, the School of Fine Arts and Design, the School of Physical Education and Health, and the School of Continuing Education and Training. There are 76 undergraduate and junior college majors (51 undergraduate majors and 25 junior college majors), covering eight disciplines including engineering, science, economics, law, education, literature, management, and art. The school was approved as a "special project" construction unit by the Ministry of Education in 2012, began to recruit engineering master's professional degree students in 2013, and was approved as a master's degree awarding institution in 2018. It currently has two professional degree master's authorization points in materials and chemical engineering, and education. The Master of Education has eight majors, including physics, chemistry, mathematics, ideological and political education, Chinese, English, fine arts, and primary school education. The Master of Materials and Chemical Engineering has two majors, materials engineering and chemical engineering. The school currently has national first-class undergraduate majors in primary education; autonomous region key disciplines in materials science and engineering; autonomous region first-class majors in physics, materials physics, chemical engineering and technology, energy and power engineering, automation, computer science and technology, mathematics and applied mathematics, financial mathematics, Chinese language and literature, network and new media; autonomous region key majors in energy and power engineering, computer science and technology, and network and new media; autonomous region first-class courses in energy and power electrical virtual simulation experiment, civil aviation introduction, simulated radar control under airport tower control simulation experiment teaching project, JAVA programming, microeconomics, modern educational technology, advanced algebra, mathematical analysis, logo design, and has gradually formed a school-running pattern with relatively reasonable professional settings and multi-disciplinary common development. The school was approved by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of national language and writing promotion bases, autonomous region language and writing work demonstration school, the cultivation unit of the research and practice base for strengthening the consciousness of the Chinese nation community, the autonomous region popular science education base, the autonomous region key laboratory for high-value green utilization of low-rank coal in Xinjiang, the autonomous region general technology experimental teaching demonstration center, and the Xinjiang basic education quality improvement research center. It has established Changji Prefecture Preschool Education Research Center, Zhundong Research Institute, Computer Application Research Institute, Applied Mathematics Research Institute, Public Economics Research Institute, Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Research Institute, Sports Culture Research Institute and other research institutions. The school's counterpart support universities are Shandong University, Xiamen University, and Shaanxi Normal University. It has established long-term counterpart cooperation relations with nearly 100 universities such as Lanzhou University, South China University of Technology, and Xinjiang University, and jointly trained undergraduates and postgraduates with Shandong University, Xiamen University, Shaanxi Normal University, and Xi'an Conservatory of Music. The long road ahead is like iron, but now we start from the beginning. All teachers, students and staff of the school hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, fully and accurately implement the Party's Xinjiang governance strategy in the new era, adhere to the Party's overall leadership over education, and never forget the original mission of "educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country". We will fully implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity, and strive to cultivate qualified builders and reliable successors of socialism with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor.
