Hunan Police College is the only full-time general undergraduate college in the province that trains police talents. The predecessor of the school was the Public Security School of the Public Security Department of the Hunan Provisional Provincial Government, which was established in 1949. In the 74 years since its establishment, the school has adhered to the school motto of "loyalty, truth, wisdom and courage", and has trained more than 80,000 qualified talents for the public security and political and legal front, and is known as the "cradle of Hunan police".
