Sichuan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a public full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Mianyang, the second largest city in Sichuan Province and the only science and technology city in China. It is a construction unit of Sichuan Province's "Double High Plan". Mianyang District Health School, founded in 1958, and Mianyang Traditional Chinese Medicine School in 1960 are the earliest predecessor institutions of the school; in February 2006, it was upgraded to Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine College with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It now covers an area of 962.99 acres and has 7,000 full-time students; it currently has 1 directly affiliated hospital, 7 non-directly affiliated hospitals, 48 teaching hospitals, and 124 internship hospitals (enterprises); there are 528 full-time teachers, among whom There are 193 people with senior professional and technical positions (including 47 professors), and 279 people with graduate degrees. The school offers 29 junior college majors and 23 medical and health majors, including 6 state-controlled majors of traditional Chinese medicine, clinical medicine, stomatology, acupuncture and massage, traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics and preventive medicine; among them, there are 2 national-level backbone majors, There are 3 key majors supported by the central government, 2 provincial key majors, 8 municipal key majors, and 9 municipal specialty majors. The Traditional Chinese Medicine professional group is a high-level professional group in Sichuan Province. The clinical medicine, acupuncture and massage and nursing majors are key majors supported by the central finance. The nursing and acupuncture and massage majors are the backbone majors of the Ministry of Education’s innovative development action plan and provincial key majors. It has trained more than 120,000 medical and health professionals in and outside Sichuan, most of whom have become the backbone of grassroots medical and health units, including Nightingale Medal winner Cheng Yijuan, national "5.12" earthquake relief hero Huang Qiong, and National People's Congress representative Jiang Kaiping, provincial academic and technical leader Shen Qilin, and the most beautiful grassroots doctor Yang Kui are outstanding representatives.
