Xi'an International Studies University is located in the scenic northern foot of Mount Zhongnan and the historical and cultural town of Taiyi Palace. It is a full-time provincial private undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It was established by the school's founder, Mr. Ding Zuyi, in 1987 and upgraded to an undergraduate university in 2005. In 2013, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education and was rated as a typical university with national innovation and entrepreneurship experience in 2019. The school is a first-class college construction unit in Shaanxi Province, a first-class major and first-class course construction point school of the Ministry of Education, and has won the honorary titles of "Advanced Grassroots Party Organization in Shaanxi Province", "Safe Campus in Shaanxi Province", and "Civilized Campus in Shaanxi Education System". "2022 Soft Science China University Rankings" ranks 14th among private universities in China and 1st among private universities in Shaanxi. There are currently 6 provincial talent training model experimental areas, 5 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 2 provincial virtual simulation experimental centers, and 17 provincial characteristic courses and boutique resource sharing courses. The school actively promotes campus culture construction and forms distinctive campus cultural and sports activities and brand projects. There are 99 student organizations, which carry out more than 30 brand activities such as the "Multilingual Culture and Art Festival". In the past three years, the university has undertaken 934 horizontal research projects of various levels and types, 225 projects at or above the provincial level, with an average annual project funding of more than 40 million yuan, held 21 national academic conferences, published nearly 3,000 papers, published 74 academic works, and won 20 provincial scientific research awards. Some of the results have been approved by provincial leaders or adopted and applied by relevant departments and enterprises and institutions, producing certain economic and social benefits.
