Take root in the red soil plateau and cultivate a strong sense of education. Kunming City University was formerly known as the Business School of Yunnan Normal University. It was established in June 2000 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is one of the first independent colleges in Yunnan Province. It began enrolling students in July 2001. In June 2021, it was transferred to Kunming City University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. (hereinafter referred to as the "school").
