Introduction

South East Technological University (SETU), located in southeast Ireland, is a comprehensive university and one of the five largest higher education institutions in Ireland. It was formed by the merger of Carlow Institute of Technology and Waterford Institute of Technology on May 1, 2022. It integrates more than 50 years of experience and advantages in higher education, scientific research, innovation and internal and external cooperation between the two schools, and is committed to building a leading European university of technology.
