Introduction
Cherkasy State Technological University is a famous science and engineering university in Ukraine. It focuses on engineering education and covers many professional fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, materials science, and chemical engineering. It is an important part of Ukraine's higher education.

Student size: There are about 8,000 students on campus.
Number of faculty and staff: There are more than 500 scientific and educational workers, including 54 professors, doctors of science, 240 associate doctors of science, associate professors, 4 honorary workers of Ukraine in education, 4 honorary workers of Ukraine in science and technology, and 2 honorary artists of Ukraine.
History
The school was founded in 1930 and was originally named Cherkasy Industrial University. It was one of the first five industrial universities established in Ukraine during the Soviet period.
In 1941, the school was occupied by Nazi Germany, and teachers and students were severely persecuted and the school buildings were destroyed.
After the war, the school continued to grow and develop after many reconstructions and expansions.
In 2001, the school was changed to its current name.

Key laboratories and disciplines
Key disciplines: Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, materials science, chemical engineering and other disciplines are the school’s key disciplines, and they are in a leading position in Ukraine.
Key laboratories: The school has a number of scientific research laboratories, such as the Food Industry New Technology and Equipment Laboratory, the Ozone Technology and Environmental Complex Laboratory, etc., which provide important support for the development of scientific research projects and students’ practical teaching, and help promote the development and innovation of disciplines.
Faculty
The school has 8 colleges and 46 departments, including 31 graduate departments, as follows:
School of Architecture: Industrial and civil architecture, chemical technology and water purification, ecology, surveying, land planning and building structure, life safety, general ecology, education and psychology and other majors are set up. College of Engineering Technology and Design: Formerly the Department of Mechanical Engineering established in 1984, it was reorganized into the College of Instrument Engineering in 1989. It has majors such as technology and equipment engineering industry, new generation food production and machine design, mechanics, printing presses and technology, energy technology, automobile and technology development, design, basic and applied materials science, etc.
College of Electronic Technology and Robotics: It began to train students in precision machinery in 1981 and radio majors in 1984. It now has departments of radio engineering, telecommunications and robotics systems, instrumentation, mechatronics and computer technology, electrical systems, computer science, information security and recording, etc.
College of Food Technology and Services: It was reorganized in 2015 according to the resolution of the Academic Committee. It has majors such as tourism and hotel catering business, food technology, sports and health.
College of Economics and Management: It was established in 1993. It has majors such as economics and business, management and business management, finance, and economic cybernetics.
College of Information Technology: It provides students with education in computer science and technology related majors.
College of Foreign Languages: It focuses on professional fields such as linguistics and foreign language education.
