Introduction

Dnipro National University Oles Honchar, now known as Dnipro National University Oles Honchar, is a well-known public university with a long history in Ukraine. It combines traditional humanities education with basic natural sciences and is strong in the field of rocket science and engineering.

The university was founded in 1918 as Ekaterynoslavsky University, transformed into Ekaterynoslavsky (later in Dnepropetrovsk) Pedagogical Institute in 1920, restored to Dnepropetrovsk National University in 1933, obtained national university status in 2000, and changed its name to Dnipro National University Oles Honchar in 2018.
