Introduction

Founded on October 12, 1957, it was named Voroshilovsk Mining and Metallurgical College. In 1964, it was renamed Komunarsk Mining and Metallurgical College due to the change of the town name. In 1992, it became the Donbas Mining and Metallurgical College. On July 27, 2004, according to the Order No. 622 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, it was renamed the Donbas State Technical University. In November 2014, In February, due to the Donbass War, the school temporarily moved to Lisichansk.
