Introduction

Lviv National Medical University Danylo Halytsky is one of the oldest and largest medical education institutions in Ukraine. History and establishment time

The history of the school can be traced back to November 16, 1784, when the Medical School of Lviv University was established according to the privilege of Austrian Emperor Joseph II, which was the predecessor of the school. It was originally the Department of Medicine of Lviv University. After many changes and developments, on August 21, 2003, according to Decree No. 872/2003 of the President of Ukraine, it was officially renamed Lviv National Medical University and obtained the status of a national university.
