Introduction to National Aviation University

National Aviation University is one of the most powerful aviation higher education institutions in the world. It is famous for training professionals in the field of aerospace. Its diplomas are recognized by all countries in the world that participate in the Lisbon Aviation Convention.

Overview

Student size: It has about 25,000 students, including nearly 1,500 international students from 55 countries.

Teachers: It has a strong faculty, including 15 academicians of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, 184 doctors of science and professors, 677 candidates of science and senior lecturers, and 80 honorary figures and national award winners in the field of science and engineering in Ukraine.

History and establishment time

The school originated from the aviation courses held by the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1898. Its independent history began on August 25, 1933, when the Kyiv Aviation Institute was established on the basis of the Aviation Department of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It has undergone several name changes since then. In 1947, it was renamed the Kyiv Civil Aviation Fleet Academy, in 1965 it was the Kyiv Civil Aviation Engineers Academy, and in 1994 it was renamed the Kyiv Civil Aviation Fleet Academy. In 1995, it was named Kyiv International Civil Aviation University, and in 2000 it was finally named National Aviation University.

School Strength

Faculty: The faculty includes not only many highly educated and highly qualified experts and scholars, but also professionals with rich practical experience in aerospace and other fields, who can provide students with high-quality education that combines theory with practice.

Teaching Achievements: Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 200,000 professionals from all over the world, including the first batch of aviation talents and management experts after the founding of the People's Republic of my country. Kraczuk, the first president of Ukraine after its independence, also graduated from the school.

International Cooperation: The school has joined the Bologna Convention and cooperated with universities in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, France, South Korea and other countries. In addition, as the only European aviation safety expert training center authorized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), it trains aviation safety professionals for ICAO and has the right to issue relevant certificates. It is also a professional talent training base for Boeing in the United States. After graduation, students can apply for certificates issued by ICAO and airworthiness certificates issued by Boeing in the United States.

Key disciplines: It has strong scientific research strength and profound academic accumulation in the fields of mechanics, management, electronics, materials science, electrical engineering, computer science and computer equipment, and has formed a number of advantageous disciplines. Its majors such as aerospace engineering, air transportation, and flight aerodynamics are in a leading position internationally.

Key laboratories: The school has unique teaching facilities and laboratories, such as the world's only radio training field, aviation ground technical field, training hangar of aerodynamics and training complex, training airport, etc. It is also equipped with 75 aircraft and helicopters, 42 aircraft engines, 3 complex aviation simulators, 240 airborne system simulators and more than 6,000 modern computers, etc., which provide good conditions for students' practical teaching and scientific research activities.

The school consists of 5 research institutes, 10 colleges, 2 secondary schools, 6 technical colleges and military training departments, covering many professional fields related to aerospace, such as the School of Aerospace, the School of Avionics and Telecommunications, the School of Economics and Business Administration, the School of Cybersecurity Computer and Software Engineering, etc.
