Introduction
Located in Vinnytsya, a city in central Ukraine, Vinnytsya National Medical University is one of the oldest medical universities in Ukraine and one of the three largest medical schools in Europe. It is an international doctor training base recognized by the World Health Organization and UNESCO.

Student size: The school has a total of 8,600 students, including 2,000 international students from nearly 60 countries.
Faculty and staff: The school has 645 teaching staff, including 89 doctors of science, 385 candidates of science, 69 professors, and 248 associate professors.
History and establishment time
The school was founded in 1921. Its predecessor was the Vinnytsya Pharmaceutical Institute. In 1960, the institution was named after Nikolai Pirogov. In 1984, it was awarded the Medal of Honor. In 1994, the Vinnytsya Medical Institute was awarded the status of a national level 4 accredited university. In 2002, it was awarded the Medal of Honor. It was awarded the status of a national university in 2009.
School Strength
Faculty: 128 doctors of medical science, 678 recipients of medical doctoral degrees, 25 honorary Ukrainian science and technology workers, 4 academicians of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, 12 honorary Ukrainian doctors, and 10 winners of the Ukrainian National Award.
