The National University of Food Technologies of Ukraine is a high-quality institution of higher education with a long history in Ukraine and an important position in the field of food technology education. The history of the school can be traced back to 1884, when the first technical school in the history of the Russian Empire dedicated to training technical experts, chemists and sugar production masters was established at the Kharkiv Institute of Technology. In 1930, the Kyiv Sugar Research Institute was established in the sugar department of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. After several name changes and developments, it was awarded university status in 1993 and renamed the National University of Food Technology of Ukraine. In 2002 In 2000, it was awarded the status of a national university and continued to use its current name.
