Introduction

Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University is a well-known higher normal university located in Uman, Ukraine. It is one of the important centers of education, culture and science in Ukraine and has trained a large number of outstanding education professionals for Ukraine and other countries.

History and establishment time

The school was established in August 1930. It was originally named the Institute of Social Education. It has four departments: technology, mathematics, social economy, language and literature, and biology. The school system is three years and initially enrolled 120 students. In 1933, it was renamed the Teachers College with a four-year school system and four departments: history, language and literature, mathematics, and biology. In 1935 In 1941, it was renamed Teachers College, with two departments: Physics and Mathematics and Physical Geography. In 1941, the school was suspended due to the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. On June 15, 1944, the two departments of Physics and Mathematics and Physical Geography resumed operation. In 1946, the History Department was restored, and in 1947, the Natural Science Department of Odessa Teachers College was incorporated, and a year later, the same department of Kiev College was also incorporated. In 1952, Uman Teacher Training College was reorganized into Uman State Teachers College, and in 1960, the Department of Primary Education Teaching Methods was established, and in 1967 it was named after Pavlo Tichina.
