Introduction

Number of faculty and staff: The school has more than 600 professors, 102 doctors of science and full professors, 460 associate professors, in addition to 2 corresponding members of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 1 academician, 11 Ukrainian Meritorious Scientists, 3 Ukrainian Meritorious Inventors, 2 Ukrainian Meritorious Teachers and 4 Ukrainian Meritorious Doctors.
History and establishment time
On April 12, 1957, the school was established as the Ternopil Medical Institute.
On July 1, 1992, On 14 April 2019, the institute was named Ternopil National Gorbachev Academy of Medical Sciences.
In 1994, it was accredited as a Ukrainian 4th-level educational institution.
On December 30, 1997, it became the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
On November 17, 2004, after reorganization, it officially became Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.
On April 17, 2019, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 146/2019, the school was granted the status of a national university.
