Introduction: Bishop Stuart University (BSU) is a private university in Uganda, located in western Uganda, 3.5 kilometers from the headquarters of Mbarara City.

Student size: In 2019, the number of students exceeded 5,000.
Course situation: It has more than 96 academic courses certified by the Uganda National Higher Education Commission, covering multiple levels such as doctoral, master's, postgraduate diploma, bachelor's, diploma and certificate.
History
Origin and development: In 2002, it was decided to be established by the Ankole Diocese of the Anglican Church of Uganda. In 2004, it established an affiliated relationship with the Uganda Christian University, and the Uganda Christian University awarded degrees, diplomas and certificates to its students. In 2014, it obtained the university charter granted by the Uganda National Higher Education Commission and began to award degrees independently.
