Introduction to LivingStone International University:
Introduction: LivingStone International University is a private university in Uganda, located near the town of Mbale. It is governed by a board of directors composed of Christians from Uganda and the United States and is committed to changing Africa through high-quality Christ-centered higher education.
Overview
Students: Students come from countries such as Uganda, Kenya, Congo, South Sudan, Rwanda, Comoros, Tanzania and Somalia, with nearly 300 students enrolled in 2018.
Course settings: The school has a business school, a Christian ministry school, a school of education, a school of computer and information technology, and a school of media technology. It offers bachelor's and diploma courses, as well as short courses such as network and security certificate courses and English as a second language courses.
History: Preparations began in 2006, and the 2009-2014 strategic plan was completed on December 19, 2007 and submitted to the Uganda National Higher Education Commission. The school received a temporary authorization on December 19, 2008, a temporary license in March 2011, and welcomed its first class of 34 students on January 16, 2012. Since 2015, it has had 6 graduating classes. It has now moved to Kamunkoli in the Budaka District.
Establishment time: Preparations were completed in 2011 and the school officially opened in 2012.

Faculty: There is a professional team of teachers to support teaching and research in various disciplines.
Teaching resources: Students are provided with electronic tablets or laptops, with a computer-to-student ratio of 1:5. Students majoring in media technology can use the latest equipment in the school's studio to gain practical experience in digital video and audio production.
