Jacobs University Bremen Introduction
Jacobs University Bremen is an international private boarding university located in the Fegesack district in the north of Bremen, Germany. It uses English as the language of instruction and combines the advantages of the American and German academic systems. Its students come from more than 110 countries and regions, and more than 60 different languages are used on campus.

History
In November 1997, representatives of the Bremen City Government, the University of Bremen and Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA, discussed the establishment of a highly selective international private research university with a focus on science and engineering and English as the language of instruction. In 1999, the school received a state license from the Free and Hanseatic City of Bremen and officially began enrolling students in 2001. Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt was the keynote speaker at its opening ceremony. At that time, the school was named Bremen International University. In November 2006, the International University of Bremen received a donation of 200 million euros from the Jacob Foundation. In February 2007, in memory of the donation, the school was renamed Jacob University of Bremen.

In 1999, it obtained state permission and officially enrolled students and began teaching in 2001.

Location: Located in the Feigesak district in the north of Bremen, Bremen, Germany. Bremen is an important port city and economic center in Germany with rich history and culture and a good economic development environment.
Campus facilities: The campus covers an area of 80 hectares and has four boarding colleges, namely Alfried Krupp College, Mercator College, College 3 and College Nordmetall. Each college is composed of students and faculty members from different departments, nationalities and ages, which promotes communication and interaction between students and faculty. In addition, the campus is equipped with sports and conference centers, sports fields, cinemas, theaters, student activity centers, multi-faith halls, cafes, multiple student clubs, and even kindergartens/preschools, providing students with a rich extracurricular life.
