Introduction
The Munich School of Philosophy is a small Jesuit higher education school located in Munich, Germany. It is based on the Jesuit educational tradition of more than 450 years and is open to all those interested in the academic study of philosophy, regardless of their religious, ideological or social background.

Course settings: offers nationally renowned undergraduate, master's and doctoral professional courses, among which the undergraduate course focuses on the history of philosophy and issues related to religious studies. The majors that can take the quasi-master's exam include systematic philosophy and the history of theology, seminars and background information, introduction to economics, and archiving foundations; the majors that can obtain a master's degree include systematic philosophy, seminars and background information, and introduction to economics. In addition, there are two training courses: adult education and sociology foundation.
History and establishment time
The Munich School of Philosophy was established in 1925. It was originally established as a theological school in Pullach, named Bechmann College. In 1932, it obtained the right to award doctoral degrees. In 1971, the school moved to the center of Munich and opened to non-Jesuit students. Today, most students are not members of the Jesuits, including women and international students.

Faculty: It has 54 academic staff, most of whom are Jesuits. Many teachers have profound attainments and rich teaching experience in the field of philosophy. For example, Harald Lesch is a professor of physics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and a lecturer in natural philosophy at the Munich School of Philosophy.

Educational Philosophy
As a Jesuit school, its goals and objectives must be in accordance with Articles 79 and 80 of the Apostolic Constitution Christi Wisdom. Article 1 of the regulations on research and teaching, namely, promoting the study of philosophy and its history; systematically reflecting on the basic issues of religious belief and clarifying the connection between philosophy and theology; analyzing and developing the contributions of other sciences to philosophy; applying the insights gained from these theoretical efforts to practical problems of human and social life.

Key disciplines: Philosophy is its core discipline, covering the basic theories of traditional philosophy from the classical period to the modern period, including metaphysics, natural philosophy, scientific theory, anthropology, etc., while also deeply studying Marxist philosophy, sociology, existential philosophy, linguistic analysis philosophy and theology.
Key laboratories: The college has six unique research centers, namely the Institute of Society and Development, the Institute of Communication and Media, the Institute of Philosophy of Religion, the Institute of Scientific Issues Related to Philosophy and Theology, the Institute of Philosophy and Leadership, and the Rottendorf Project. These research centers provide a platform for in-depth research and academic exchanges for teachers and students.

The School of Philosophy of the college is divided into the following four departments or groups:
Philosophy: Focus on the research and teaching of basic philosophical theories and classical philosophical issues.
Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Theory: Focus on the intersection of logical thinking, scientific methods and philosophy, and cultivate students' logical analysis and scientific philosophy literacy.
Religious Studies and European Religious Philosophy: In-depth exploration of religious phenomena, religious thoughts, and the development and evolution of European religious philosophy.
Spiritual History and Philosophy of the Renaissance: Study the ideological and cultural background, philosophical trends of the Renaissance and their impact on modern society.

Due to the particularity of its major, the Munich School of Philosophy does not appear in the common comprehensive university rankings, but its education and research in the field of philosophy are highly professional and influential, and it maintains close cooperation with two top universities in Munich, which are among the best in Germany and even in the world.
