Introduction
The University of Zielona Góra is the largest public academic institution in the Lubusz Voivodeship, offering a wide range of disciplines and professional courses, covering all levels of education from undergraduate to doctoral level, with an academic tradition dating back to 1965.

History and establishment time
The university's history can be traced back to the establishment of the Engineering Faculty in 1965, which was later transformed into the Zielona Góra Technical University. In 1971, the Teacher Training Faculty was established, and in 1973 it became the Professor Tadeusz Kotarbinski Educational Faculty. On September 1, 2001, the University of Zielona Góra was established by the merger of the above schools. On September 1, 2017, Sulekhov Public Training College was merged into Zielona Góra University.
