The University of Patras is a world-class comprehensive public university in Greece. It is located in Patras, Greece and is the third largest university in Greece.

History and Establishment

The university was founded on November 11, 1964 and officially opened on November 30, 1966. In June 2013, the University of Western Greece was merged into the University of Patras. In 2019, the Western Greece Institute of Technical Education was also merged into the University of Patras.

Faculty: 715 academic staff, 234 scientific researchers and 429 administrative staff.
