History

In 1902, it was established as Khartoum Technical School and Business School during the colonial period of Sudan.

The School of Radiology was established in 1932, and the School of Design was established in 1946. In 1950, the above colleges merged with the Khartoum Technical School to form the Khartoum Technical College.

In 1954, the Shambhatt Agricultural College, in 1962 the Khartoum Higher Trade School, and in 1969 the School of Music and Drama and the Higher Institute of Physical Education were successively incorporated. In 1975, it was renamed Khartoum Polytechnic.

In 1990, it officially became Sudan University of Science and Technology.
