History and Establishment
Establishment: 1972.
History: The school was originally Maranatha Bible College, co-founded by Mr. William Ofori Atta, a Christian lawyer and politician, and Rev. John Bergen, a senior member of the Sudan Inland Mission. In 2006, the college broadened its curriculum to include liberal arts education and other subjects, and obtained accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Education of Ghana, and began to award degrees in cooperation with the University of Cape Coast. It was later renamed Maranatha University College.
