Introduction

National University of Pharmacy is an institution of higher learning with an important position in the field of pharmaceutical education. It has trained many outstanding pharmaceutical professionals for Ukraine and the world, and has made remarkable achievements in pharmaceutical research, education and teaching.

Overview

Student size: There are about 15,796 students.

Number of faculty and staff: The total number of faculty and staff is nearly 2,000, including 608 scientific and educational workers, and 91% of scientific and educational staff have scientific degrees.

History and establishment time

The history of pharmaceutical education in the university can be traced back to the early 19th century. It was established as a department of the Kharkov Imperial University in 1805, and the Kharkov Imperial University opened a pharmaceutical laboratory in 1812. In 1921, the first School of Pharmacy was established in Kharkiv, and it has become the only higher education institution in the pharmaceutical industry in Ukraine.

School Strength

Teaching Staff: 75% of the teachers in the school have doctoral or associate doctoral degrees, including many well-known scientists at home and abroad. The strong teaching staff provides students with high-quality teaching and professional guidance.

Teaching Achievements: The school provides educational qualification courses at different levels, from junior experts and junior college students to bachelors, masters, and doctors, covering multiple professional fields, and has trained a large number of talents who can engage in professional work in various fields of pharmacy.

Scientific Research Level: The school has 5 scientific research laboratories, clinical diagnosis centers and clinical diagnosis laboratories, and the Laboratory of Scientific Methods for Pharmaceutical Education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. About 22 scientific research schools carry out research work here, and scientists have developed 161 drugs, and has three special scientific committees in the professional fields of pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical technology, which reflects its strong strength in pharmaceutical research.

Key laboratories: The school has 5 scientific research laboratories, 24 training laboratories, etc., which provide an important practical platform for teaching and scientific research, help students better understand and apply professional knowledge, and improve practical operation ability and scientific research innovation ability.

The school has 4 departments, namely the Department of Foreign Citizens Education, the Department of Pharmacy, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Management, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. The department has 49 Departments.

Campus

Location: Located in Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine, the city is considered the capital of Ukrainian pharmacy and has the largest center for pharmaceutical education, medicines, science and medical equipment manufacturing.

Campus Facilities: The campus is equipped with 10 educational buildings, 6 dormitories, a nutrition complex that can accommodate 700 people, and a botanical garden, etc. These facilities provide convenient conditions for students' study, life and scientific research.
