Introduction

Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University is an important educational, scientific, engineering and cultural center in western Ukraine. It is also the only university in the region that provides comprehensive technical education.

History and establishment time

The university was established on November 11, 1960, and its history is closely linked to the development of the city of Ternopil. In the 1960s, the city developed due to the construction of a large number of industrial plants. The demand for highly qualified engineers continued to increase. The Lviv Polytechnic Institute opened a technical department in Ternopil, which was later reorganized into the Ternopil Branch of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute on May 15, 1964, and finally on February 27, 1991. On this basis, the Ternopil Instrument Manufacturing Institute was established.
