Introduction
Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade is the only higher education institution in eastern Ukraine that trains bachelors, experts and masters in the fields of trade, hotel, catering, food processing industry, customs and audit services. It is a strong educational and research center at the European level.

Number of faculty and staff: The school has 460 teachers, 70% of whom are doctors of science, scholars, professors and associate professors.
History
The school's history can be traced back to the end of the 19th century, when architect Alexey Beketov established the Higher Business School named after Emperor Alexander III in 1893.
In 1916, the school was renamed Kharkiv Business College.
In 1929, the Kharkiv Soviet Trade Institute was established to train high-quality professionals for the trade industry and public catering.
July 1, 1967 On 19th, the Kharkiv Institute of Public Catering was established on its basis.
In 1994, the institute acquired a new status and name - Kharkiv Institute of Food Technology and Human Nutrition.
On October 11, 2002, the school was granted university status and became Kharkiv National University of Food Technology and Trade.
Establishment time
The Kharkiv Institute of Public Catering was officially established in 1967. After development and evolution, it was determined to be the current name in 2002.

Faculty: Among the 460 teachers, there are many doctors of science, scholars, professors and associate professors, as well as national award winners, senior educators and well-known scholars. They have rich teaching and scientific research experience in their respective professional fields and can provide students with high-quality education and teaching services.
Teaching facilities: The school has 5 academic teaching buildings with a total area of 41,323 square meters. It also has 2 modern student dormitories, canteens, cafes, gymnasiums, sports fields, etc., providing students with good learning and living conditions. Its library has more than 35 10,000 books.
Scientific research results: The school has carried out in-depth research in the fields of human nutrition, etc., with more than 20 academic schools, and has carried out applied scientific research, development and introduction of new competitive technologies in core areas such as nutrition and hygiene, food microbiology, food raw materials and food quality and safety research methods, and has achieved remarkable results. For example, in 2006 and 2012, 10 university scholars won two national science and technology awards in Ukraine, and the school's inventors obtained 30 invention patents every year.
International cooperation: The school has 30 cooperation agreements with the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Romania, Russia, etc. Many universities and foundations have established a wide range of international cooperation networks. Every year, teachers and students participate in international cooking competitions, exhibitions and joint research projects with foreign counterparts.
