Introduction: Uganda Christian University (UCU) is a private university founded by the Church of Uganda. It provides high-quality university education from a Christian perspective and plays an important role in the education field in Uganda.

Number of students: About 15,000 students in 2020.
Course settings: More than 80 doctoral, master's, bachelor's and diploma courses are offered.
Learning mode: It is Uganda's leading online distance learning institution and established the UCU online learning platform in 2014.
History: In 1997, the Anglican Church of Uganda established Uganda Christian University based on its premier seminary, Bishop Tucker Seminary, founded in 1913. In 2004, it became the first private university to be chartered or recognized by the Ugandan government.

Campus Environment
Campus Distribution: The main campus is located in Mukono Town, about 25 kilometers from the capital Kampala. There are also Bishop Barram University College in Kabale, Mbale Campus, Arua Campus, etc. The fifth campus in Kampala will be built in 2019.
Facility Construction: There is a modern library on campus that can accommodate 1,200 people, has a collection of 250,000 books, and is equipped with 200 computers; the dormitory is equipped with a computer lab and Internet hotspot; there are modern gymnasiums and other sports facilities.
