Introduction: Muni University is a public multi-campus university in Uganda, committed to providing quality education, knowledge creation, promoting innovation and community empowerment.

History: In 2007, a delegation of elders from the West Nile region made a written request to the President of Uganda to establish a public university in the region. In 2009, the Ugandan government agreed to create the university and set up a three-person task force to build the school, which was originally named West Nile University and later renamed Muni University after extensive consultation.
