Introduction to Muni University:

Introduction: Muni University is a public multi-campus university in Uganda, committed to providing quality education, knowledge creation, promoting innovation and community empowerment.

Student size: There were more than 380 students in 2018.

Courses: Undergraduate courses include Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Bachelor of Science in Education, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, etc. There are also postgraduate courses such as Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.

History: In 2007, a delegation of elders from the West Nile region made a written request to the President of Uganda to establish a public university in the region. In 2009, the Ugandan government agreed to create the university and set up a three-person task force to build the school, which was originally named West Nile University and later renamed Muni University after extensive consultation.

Founded: July 1, 2013.
