Overview
Okayama University (Okayama University, Japanese: おかやまだいがく, abbreviated as: Okayama University) is a national university located in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. It was founded in 1949. Its history can be traced back to 1870, when the then government-run Okayama Medical University was one of its predecessors. Okayama University is a member of Japan's G30 and Super International University Program, and is a comprehensive university with a high reputation at home and abroad.
Campus
Okayama University currently has four main campuses:
Qingdao Campus: Located in Kita-ku, Okayama City, it is the main campus with most of the faculties and research departments.
Shikata Campus: Located in Minami-ku, Okayama City, it mainly has the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Health.
Kurashiki Campus: Located in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, it mainly has the Institute of Plant Resources.
Misasa Campus: Located in Misasa-cho, Tottori Prefecture, it mainly has the Institute of Planetary Materials.
