Introduction and Overview

The University of Trakia is a public university located in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. It is named after the historical Thrace region and offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral and qualification and postgraduate training courses in the lifelong education system.

History and Establishment

The university was established in 1995 by merging the Higher Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and the Higher Institute of Medicine in Stara Zagora.
