Varna University of Economics is a public university in Varna, Bulgaria, focusing on research and teaching in the field of economics. The school offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs covering a number of disciplines such as economics, management, tourism, and informatics.

The school was founded on May 14, 1920, and was originally named the Higher School of Commerce. In 1945, it was renamed the "Kirill Slav Bulgarian" National University, and in 1953 it became an independent Higher School of National Economy. On July 21, 1995, the National Assembly passed a resolution to change it to a university.
