Introduction to the Ghana Institute of Languages:
History and Establishment
Establishment: 1961.
Development History: Founded by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of Ghana, it was originally directly under the jurisdiction of the Presidential Palace and aimed at improving the modern language skills of diplomats and civil servants. It is currently under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and supervised by the National Higher Education Commission.
School Strength
Language Teaching Major: With rich language teaching experience and a professional teaching staff, it provides a variety of language courses, including English, French, German, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
Diversified Training and Services: In addition to regular language teaching, it also provides translation, interpretation, bilingual secretary and other services for governments, enterprises and individuals, as well as related training courses.
